About our client
Our client is the premier clean energy finance platform for private clients seeking to mitigate their tax liability and enjoy long term yield. In partnership with family offices, financial advisors and tax professionals, they repurpose our private clients’ tax liability to preserve and grow their wealth, legacy and impact.

About this Opportunity:
The Director of Underwriting will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting process, ensuring that client information is complete and accurate, managing client communications post-onboarding, and maintaining compliance with client contracts. This person will play a critical role in representing the client’s perspective on internal matters, conducting internal diligence on client investments, and leading a growing team of underwriters to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwriting & Due Diligence: Lead the internal diligence process on client investments to ensure precise and accurate management of client funds.
  • Client Communication & Representation: Act as the primary internal advocate for client interests, ensuring their perspectives are considered in all relevant company matters.
  • Compliance & Contract Management: Oversee company adherence to client contracts, ensuring that all obligations and compliance requirements are met.
  • Team Leadership & Growth: Manage a team of underwriters, scaling the team as the company’s workload grows. Provide mentorship, training, and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with the finance team, client sales team, and operations team to ensure seamless execution of underwriting and investment management.

Compensation and Work Environment
  • Independent Contractor with an hourly base pay based on experience
  • Physical setting is remote with once a quarter team travel for meeting.
